Costa <br /> Meeting called to order : 4;30 p.m. <br /> 1. Warrants signed. <br /> 2. Minutes of meet i ng, 6/1/87, accepted as written, rot i on W. Costa, second Mr, Wilson. <br /> 3. Solid Waste ConserTt Order from DEQE to be signed by Board. Mr. Buckingham ngha adv i sed the other <br /> mi bers that on Thursday June 4, 1987 the following were in attendance at Lakeville regarding this <br /> order: Town Counsel Joseph Reardon, Selectman Thomas,, representative from Weston & &Won {Mike <br /> h an 1 on and Mike Sc i pp i one) he informed members it was an amen b 1 e meeting and DEQE would all r <br /> the Town to handle the ratter at the Landfi l 1 and its' environs. THE CONSENT ORDER WAS SIGNED, HOW- <br /> EVER MR. COSTA MADE IT CLEAR HE WAS SIGNING ONLY IF THE ORDER IS TO BE STRICTLY.ENFORCED. <br /> The Chair also requested that Stetson Hall or the County Laboratory becontaeted, and then a let- <br /> ter <br /> e - <br /> t r to go to DEQE stating that the County wou 1 d be monitoring the Landfill, Ashers Path, S merw od <br /> areas. He also said that DEQE would a l 1 o a filtering system for Bldg. #14 for washing, bathing. <br /> The Town is to supply bottled water (HIO to Go out of Prov i nceto n has been the Supplier that the <br /> Mate has been using. Either the Selectmn or the Vater Com i s i overs will contract. <br /> 4. Invitation from LEA Group Invitation for dinner meeting at Mari-Jeans DOTED <br /> . M m, Gary Prat , DDP QED : Cape Cod Regional Hazardous Waste Disposal Plan. REGIONAL <br /> MANAGEMENT PLAN IS TO BE AVAILABLE IN SELECTS OFFICE AND AT LIBRARY. NOTED <br /> . Mm. Board of Selectmw, re: Cons i derat i on of matters of interest to the public. COMIVT <br /> OF MR. COSTA WAS THAT THIS BOARD ADHERES TO THIS POLICY. NOTED <br /> . Copy of cora 1 a i nt and the response on Angelos. MRS. F ERR I TER ADV I SED THIS OFFICE BY PHONE AND <br /> BY LETTER OF HER FINDING OF COCKROACH IN CHICKEN. THE BOARD ASKED THAT A LETTER BE SENT TO THE CUS,- <br /> TTER ADVISING HER OF THE ACITON TAM EN AT THIS LEVEL. <br /> 8. Mr. Costa asked that additional copies of the agenda be provided for the meters of the Press. <br /> 9. CONE[ (Coalition of Northeastern Governors) survey,, re: Groundwater Protection Issues. THE BD <br /> REQUESTS THAT AGENT COWLETE SURVEY WITH ASSISTANCE FROM,TOWN PLANNER ANDRE-SUBMIT TO BOARD FOR <br /> FINAL APPROVAL. ' <br /> 10. Reguest from to l yres & Mt Grath for extension of per o l at i on test,, Lot 483 &r mersea Road. MOTION <br /> FOR SIX NINTH EXTENSION FROM JUNE 10TH MADE BY W. WILSON, SECOND MR. COSTA. UNANIMOUS. <br /> 11. Copy of letter, addressed to Conservation Coffmission from David M. Lenart re: tied nd Aet Pro- <br /> tect i on, Lots 156, 157 Deer Ridge Road. THE CHAIR RECUt DED THAT MEMBERS TAKE E THIS WITH THEN <br /> AND PERUSE. <br /> 12. Lardi 11 contractor, S. Joseph DiMaggio appeared before Board as per request of the rr bers <br /> re: fee schedule for metal goods and reports of i I legal dura i ng in Town as a result to these <br /> fees. MR. COSTA INQUIRED ABOUT METAL ITEMS NOT INCLWED ON THE 'PRICE LIST' TO INCLUDE ALUMINL <br /> FOLD I NO CHAIRS, D I MAGG I O DENIED THERE WAS A CHARGE FOR I ND I V I DUAL CHAIRS, HOWEVER IF SOMEONE WAS <br /> TO CONTE IN WITH SIX THERE COULD BE A FEE CHARGED* THERE WAS CONCERN EXPRESSED FOR ILLEGAL DIS- <br /> POSAL OF REFRIGERATORS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF BEING DONE SO WITH THE DOORS LEFT ON AND THE DANGER <br /> OF THIS PRACTICE, DIMAGGIO WOULD NOT RENEGE AND ALLOW THIS ITEM TO GO INTO LANDFILL WITHOUT T SCME- _ <br /> ONE BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT. DIMAGGIO ALSO STATED THAT VIRGILIO NOR HIS MEN HAVE EVER TAKEN <br /> ANY OF THIS 'SO CALLED' ILLEGALLY DEED TRASH TO THE LANDFILL OUTSIDE OF ONE TIME THE DPW HAD <br /> BROUGHT, IN SOME POLES. THE BOARD REQUESTED THE CONTRACTOR I-ACTOR TO BE PRESENT WITH THOU ON WEDNESDAY <br /> EVENING AT THE SELECTMENS MEETING: HE ALSO STATED HE WOULD TACE THE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS IF AND <br /> WHEN RRANC4!MS ARE MADE WITH RESPONSIBLE PARTIES TO COLLECT SUCH ITEC. NSR. DIMAGGIO ALSO CITED <br /> N INSTANCE WHERE A TRUCK FOLLOWED A BROWN MERCEDES INTO THE LANDFILL APPROXIMATELY EIGHT T I LE. <br /> AND THE DRIVER HAVING HAD A LETTER FROM THIS OFFICE AUTHORIZING THE TRIPS, HOWEVER, THE LETTER <br /> WAS NEVER RELEASED TO THE PERSON AT THE GATE SO THE AUTHENTICITY OF THIS IS QUESTIUNLE. <br />
