She-adv i sed;4: _-r r�k rsd <br /> that the association with Falmuth Hospital has not affected the operation of VNA, in that there <br /> is still a VNA Foundation and that they.,are not a department Of the hospital rather they are under <br /> the overall hospital f o'undat i ori. Ruth nne Miller is the current town nurse,, and- Peg Duggan i s-the <br /> Maternal Health care nurse. Ruthann is engaged currently setting up the flu clinic. Ms. Carr was <br /> adv i sed that part of the concern of th i s off i ce was that in the past prev i ous nurses took the op- <br /> portunity to mace use of this office on a regular basis so that communications -between the Agency <br /> and the office staff conplemnted each other, Judy a dv i secs members that there has been an increase <br /> in Maternal child health care, the biggest change has been the elderly and the .need for fry lea l th <br /> care, 85/85 it was ZA and this fiscal year it a l ready is 10%. Mr. Costa asked what const i toted free. <br /> hea 1 h care, Judy adv i sed that thea peop 1 e on the case load that have no payment source not having <br /> met the guideline for Medicare and not.hair ing Medicaid but yet there is a need. GRC asked if a , <br /> client had both Medicare and Medicaid was that acceptable, els. Carr concurred, she explained that <br /> Medicare is tightening up to the point arxd people are not receiving care under the system, and <br /> that it is increasingly becoming a problem and that if someone needs the care the VNA will go <br /> out and do it anyway on a sliding fee. She explained that at one time Medicare was expansive in <br /> that if a client were bed bound they would cover services but that is not true now, they pay verb <br /> short term. Bob -Burrgnann of Holmes & WGrath appeared before the Board on 520 Triton Way,, the house size <br /> if almost being doubled in size, adding 2 bathrooms plus, Mr. Buckingham recamends updating to <br /> current %shpee regulations. Bob asked if the Board would aspect his judgerrent if when leaching <br /> is excavated and is found to be satisfactory in size, new plans will be submitted upon this de- <br /> termination. <br /> e- <br /> terminati .
