TON of WWEE <br /> BOARD of HEALTH <br /> MEETING <br /> 490 APRIL 14, 1988 <br /> EMERGENCY MEETING CALLED To ORDER AT 10.00 m. <br /> Mm-bers present: all <br /> FB- The purpose of this r rgency meeting is to start the process of site assignment for to Transfer <br /> Station. i recently received a call from Weston & Sampson indicating that DEQE will soon be coming down <br /> w new policies regarding the assignment, rules and regulations of transfer station operations. Weston <br /> Sampson recamiEnded that we adverb e -as soon as possible to get our plans in before the new rules ,become <br /> effective. Either Mike Hamlin or Mike scipione will be available to discuss the proposed plans at the <br /> time of the hearing.. . .0 <br /> Under chapter 111, Section 150A, it's the BOH's responsi ility to grant the °site assignment. The location <br /> planned is the current 1andfi11 site on Asher's Fath. The -pIan submi tted by Weston & meson shows the <br /> proposed facility to be constructed. This includes but i,s not limited to a transfer station, leaf and brush <br /> cuTposting area, rec yc 1 i n area, white goods storage area and other solid waste related activities., <br /> A discussion followed as to how soon we could have the hearing published. The law requires that it be <br /> published twice, once in each of two consecutive weeks. At first the Board thought it could go in on <br /> 4115 & 4122/88 and the meeting could be held on 428B. doe Murky then entered the room and indicated <br /> that it was a l rready too late for the 4/15/88 entry.
