x
GRC-- We've increased the l each i ng requirements above title V, We've tried to increase your s i Z i ng as a safety
factor, We don't want-to cost your yore money. - It r
CFB- EAM and I haves been, talking: the s 3000'gals per seat in the church probably will rpt be used, o we have
69-cushion there. Therefr +the loo gals tank although 9960 is required, is adequate considering the cushion
actor.
f, 1 -can urnde st nd where EAM & CFB are coring fran for safety treasons. If you're comfortable /the system
as planned, I'll go along w/it.- If you ever did care to those flow nbers, you might be soory you didn't
build in the excess capacity you-were asked to.'
JE- For them to realize twice the usage that St,Fncis Xavier uses i unreal*
CFB- the other issue i that wee requi re the.secohdary'to b ,installed w/the Primary' in ccrrmerc i a l estab l i h T en t
and we have to .cons i der the church a cammerc i a l establishTent-This you have also requested variance from.
Our reason is that engineering wise, it's sound. It gives the beds a chance to selfcleanse on aternating years,
We'd be looking for a small en 1 argot if we grat this variance. I'd be w i l 1 i n to enter a i n a vari ance if
you wou 1 d increase the amount os Mone around the leaching area, since this is where a failure would occur if
anyuwher . Go fray 1 to 1 112-2 feet*
JZ- I was thinking of punting in a d i venter valve to a l tern ate the proposed primary fields since at the
anticipated flow rate, the trenches won't be fully activated anyway* Even hough this would be only half of
what Title v requires, it makes more sense.
CFB-- Makes sense to me. Instead of loading only the entry sections of all trenches.
JZ- It has a biter chance of properly spreading out.
G C- I think that's the best idea.
CFB- Fine. Your parking lot drains are of the MDC type oil separation Theme will be a public we I 1 close
to this area and possibly comunity wells. This my be in their recharge area..
JZ- A nuter of those bashes were leaching type, direct l into the ground.
- We have aproblem with that type. We've wanted the Dtype. I'd ask ,you to change all to QC's.
CFB- 1e would much prefer that type of drain, -because of the proximity to the proposed well situ.
JZ- CSC, I think we can work that out.
CFB- I would entertain a motion from the Board that we grant the necessary variances
PCFWB-
om- Motion made.
- second
All approved, so carried. We'll send ,your a letter to that effect outlining the Vdc request.
Meeting with Housing Assistance Corp. re: Inspection Program
ftrbers Attending: Nancy Om ett area rep.
Bob Shae (area Insp
CFB- I'll ask FAM to do the talking since he's had the most contact with this.
EA M- As ,your know, I've sent copies of my correspondence to Cathy F i inn, in October,, I wrote to ,you in March
trying to resov1e the problems ourr inspection procedures. It came to a head when we had a minor oil spill
in Town on Great Neck road. Upon inspecting th oil spill I remarbered that I had inspected the dwelling for
housing. I checked my files to see what the report stated and when J wer7t to investigate the spill, I noticed
that none of the repair work which was l i ted as necessary prior to occupancy by housing was undertaken. I
wrote to yopu then and even since thea Laura has come up /cases where people are already living in a house
that she has just received an inspection request, or her recd ended repairs have not been completed prior
to occupancy. This is why I and the Board asked you to cam in to explain your process and where in your
opinion our inspection fits in. It makes no sense for us to inspect if the people are either living
th r a l ready-or are a 1 l owed to move in before the reces sary repay i rs are carp 1 eted.
NE--I didn't realize .you were doing re-inspections.
F.- No, let rne explain: Say 6 months ago when we got an inspection request from ,you, there are three cate-
gor i es of answers to check off: 1- Bldg meets min. req;-2. Bldg meets min. req, but sone work necessary and
3. Bldg does not meet min. standards. What we had been doing in many cases is checking off : meets rein, req*
bunt same work necessary and thea we'd list what needed to be done. Since then and since what I found at Cr.
k Road where the rye am-ended repairs were not done, I've told Laura to no longer use that category. So
he'd not sign off and i ruste d go back to see if fine r pa i r were done and i n stead f i rid the people l i v i rig thea
NE- As far as the people living them, somet i rhes the owner gets together the prospective tenant and they
rake an arrangements and set up a-time to rove in-We do not enter into a lease until we inspect and pass the
dwelling and until we receive notice from ,you that it is habitable. so we're not rlly responsible if some-
one is living there before that..
