AssigneTent is for transfer station leaf cuTposting area and treatment plant. Reads from plublished notice " Town, of Mashpee, Board of Health, will hold a public hearing in accordance with chapter III, Section 150A f the MGL at Town lea l l, Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, Mass on bnday,, May 2, 1988 at 3:00 pin for the site ass i gnement of a "Solid Waste Transfer Station" i nc 1 ud i ng but not 1 imi ted to a solid waste transfer sta- tion, t - tion, leaf and brush car ost i ng area, recyc 1 i r area, i goods storage .area, and other solid waste re- lated activities. The proposed solid waste transfer station will be located at the site of the existing sanitary landfill on Asher's Path." The hearing has been properly advertized. We will conduct the heaRI G in the same format as used at the Senate and Pep. hearings, in that them will be no debating allawed. Those in opposition will have their opportunity to state their opposition to the siting. After those carments have been taken, those in favor will have a chance to voice their approval. All cognition will be through the hair. 6 ichael Scipione, from Weston & Epson, our consultants to the Torn of Mashpee is present. Theme are no others present, therefore I would dem that there is no opp sitrion to this siting. Does M Scipione have any carrnents to make? MB: When you sited the assignement, did ,you site as a transfer station only.,Or as a facility also? OFB: We sited it as a transfer station, including but not limited to a transfer station, leaf and brush comp- posting area, recycling area, white goods store area and other solid wane realated activity. This pretty well corers what usage we might want. Do you have a cwt ast o the feasa i 1 ity of the ass ignement 5 i thea any detrimental affect of the assignement? MS: No., unless sareone was to comment negatively that they didn't want to see composting or something like that. They could go to DERE .in the next 60 days and ask for a hearing. WC have no ca encs from anyone else, and since DEgE started the hearing, process, noone has'ever had filed led negative camments to the site assign- ment of transfer stat i ori s.
