MINUTES May 24, 1990 4 BOARD D F HEALTH <br /> 4 <br /> this Board at the time of septic installation, Mr. Doherty <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> 15. ) <br /> variance ,equest for ,� UMina,�ot�3 A Matson Drive <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board the owner is requesting a <br /> variance of 1 ' from on site well to on site septic. A 1000 <br /> gallon pit with a flow diffuser will be utilized due to <br /> ground water elevation.. <br /> Mr. Greelish motioned to grant the 181 variance as re- <br /> quested with the stipulation a reserve pit is installed along <br /> with the primary, Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> i <br /> 16, ) variance re uest 0 uncle e c -fs oa Du uis <br /> (-resubmitted and issu d - Mr. McQuaid informed the Board <br /> the installer requested permission to install the system be- <br /> ore the weekend, Mr. Doherty was contacted and informed of <br /> the additional information submitted at which time it was <br /> agreed to issue the septic permit. <br /> Board members were in agreeance to grant the variance as <br /> requested. <br /> 17. ) Items for discussion - New Town Ball Septic Plans - <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board an informal meeting was held <br /> with Benchmark Engineering at which time he voiced his con- <br /> cern with the proposed ejector system to handle the flow from <br /> the basement level.. It was relayed that this Board does not <br /> look favorably upon ejector systems but prefer the system is <br /> lowered deep enough to allow for a gravity fed system to the <br /> leaching field. Mr. McQuaid stated he also recommended a <br /> pump chamber after the tank. <br /> Mr. Greelish stated he is aware of the background and <br /> will act as a liaison between this Board and a member of the <br /> Committee. <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed a trench field is proposed which is <br /> amicable, however requested the flow be equalized from begin- <br /> ning to end of the leach field. It was agreed to run an <br /> equalizing line down the length of the leach field, '(100' <br /> long) , with the flaw diverted every 201 into gal l.ey l s. The <br /> issue of installing the reserve was not resolved as plans <br /> have not been submitted. Mr. McQuaid stated an additional <br /> concern is that the proposed access road for the new Fawn <br /> Mall is located over the septic system for the Fire and Po-- <br /> lice Departments and cover material is not H 20. If the road <br /> remains in its proposed location the septic system will re� <br /> quire H 20 or require installation of two septic systems. <br /> lip <br /> i <br />
