MINUTES June 21 , 1990 2 BOARD OF HEAL'T'H Nis. Mills voiced her concern with the existing septic system servicing the structure and commented the well servic- ing the entire complex is located less than 1001 from the septic. Mr. Gre e l i sh informed Ms, Mills the we l l was approved s a of a non-community public well , therefore the State mandates quarterly water testing. Ms. Mills questioned whether the sampling is witnessed. Mr. Evans informed Ms, Mills the State does not require sampling to be witnessed. Mr~. Greelish stated the report does indicate an apparent leaching condition. Ms. Mills stated Mr. Kerfoot was of the opinion results indicate more than one system in failure. Ms. Mills recom- mended this Board contact Mr. Kerfoot t.o explain the results of the report and the ramifications of its Mrs Evans relayed in order to make a determination as to which system or systems are in failure each system would re- quire individual testing. Mr. Evans commented one test was performed with dye, during a period of heavy rains, with negative results. The report submitted indicated all samples were taken during or immediately after heavy rain falls. Mr. Costa recommended Mr. Evans request aid from the BCHED. Mr. Greelish requested Mr. Evans obtain Mr, Halpern's permission to inspect the structure at the "Riverben " , and determine whether the structure is habitable. Mr. Evans requested a Building Inspector to accompany hire at -the time of inspection. Board members were in agreeance. Ms. Mills requested the Board forward any information regarding water sampling to the Planning Board. Board members were in agreeance. 2.
