y i # • MINUTES August 2, 1990 2 BOARD of HEALTH Ms. Wall informed the Board she is proposing a 101 X 12f addition to her living room space. The addition will replace the existing deck. No increase in septic flow will take place. Mr. McQuaid informed the Board in 1385 this Board ap- proved an upgrade to Title V. The upgrade was installed to better accommodate septage flow, Mr. McQuaid explained the existing well is less than 1001 from the system and will re- quire a variance. In speaking with Bret Rowe from D.E.P. it was his opinion the State would not approve the addition i there was any increase in flow. Mr, McQuaid recommended this Board carefully review the variance request as an abutter to Ms. Wall has requested a similar variance which this Board, upon plan review, required submittal of a legally enforceable plan to ensure the second level remain inhabitable until public water is supplied. The Board may be setting a precedent should Ms. Wall receive variance approval. Mr. Costa commented the addition proposed would not in- crease the flow. Mr. Doherty agreed with Mr. Costa and commented proposed plans indicate an expansion to the existing living room area. Mr, Greelish stated he would life Ms, Wall to provide this Board with some assurance that public water will be pro- vided to the dwelling once available. . Wall was agreeable to the request. Mr. Costa motioned to grant the variance from Title V regulations which requires 1001 distance from well to septic, Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. APPOINTMENT: lir. Lowrance/June Daley - Barn inspections Ms, Daley y and Dr,, Lowrance were in attendance for this scheduled appointment. Mr, Greelish questioned Dr. Lowrance as to whether he performed barn inspections for calendar year 1990. Dr, Lowrance responded he did not inspect the barns for calendar year 1990 however, did inspect the barns for 1 1989.
