MINUTES November 8, 1990 3 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> AP INT NT: Jackson/Bortolotti - septic repair <br /> Ms. Jackson and Mr. Bortolotti were in attendance for <br /> this scheduled appointment. <br /> Ms. Jackson explained she has owned the lot since 1951 . <br /> In 1962 her husband installed two cesspools however the ou' t- <br /> let pipe was installed improperly. In 1969 Randy Peters in- <br /> spected the system and installed a leaching bed, <br /> Mr. Creelish informed Ms. Jackson the existing system <br /> must be upgraded as it is not functioning properly. <br /> Mr.. McQuaid informed the Board the Conservation Commis- <br /> sion Agent has filed a complaint against Nor. Bortolotti for <br /> working within 10' of the wetlands. <br /> Ms, Jackson relayed to Board members that she cannot re- <br /> pair her septic system due to financial problems. <br /> Tr. Costa informed Ids. Jackson, if a repair permit had <br /> been requested it would have been denied. <br /> Mr, Bortolotti stated he• tried , to service a customer at <br /> a nominal fee. <br /> Mr, Costa reminded Mr. Bortolotti that he did not report <br /> to this Board within 14 days as requested as to whether an <br /> amicable agreement had been reached. <br /> Mr. Costa motioned to revoke Mr, Bortolottils <br /> installer's license, and recommended this Board contact Town <br /> Counsel to request his opinion on the amount of the fine this <br /> Board may impose, motion was not seconded, tot i on failed. <br /> Ir, Costa motioned to continue this matter for a three <br /> weep period, Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> Mr. Bortolotti stated he would repair Ms, Jackson'ssys- <br /> tem,, to the Boards satisfaction, at a nominal fee. <br /> Mr, McQuaid stated the Conservation Commission must be <br /> notified that work within 1001 of the wetlands will be kept <br /> to a minimum and leaching will be placed beyond the loot re- <br /> quirements. <br /> Irs Bortolotti agreed to the three week continuance., <br /> i <br /> i t <br /> w <br /> 'I <br /> # + E <br /> i <br /> i <br />
