(9) All water tank vehicles engaged in the spraying of.pesticides/herbicides <br /> must be equipped with a Department of Environmental Quality Engineering <br /> approved anti-backflow prevention device. The anti-backflow device shall <br /> be inspected according to D.E.Q.E. policy and proof thereof be in the <br /> possession of the applicator. <br /> ( 10) The syphoning of water from any pond, stream, river or other water course <br /> within the Town of Mashpee into a water tank 'vehicles for the purpose of <br /> applying pesticides/herbicides is prohibited. <br /> ( 11 ) The filling of water tank vehicles snail be accomplished only through a <br /> hydrant designated oy either the High Wood Water Company or the Masnpee <br /> Water District unless permission is otherwise granted in writing by the <br /> Board of Health. <br /> ( 12) An application for hydrant use must be filed with and granted by either <br /> the High Wood Water Company or. the Mashpee Water District. A copy of the <br /> permit must be in the possession of the applicator and must be made avail- <br /> able upon request. <br /> ( 13) Each company engaged 'in the application of pesticides/herbicides within <br /> the Town of Mashpee ,shall apply for a "Pesticide Applicator License" , to <br /> be issued by the Board of Health. This license shall be renewable each <br /> January -1st. The ,fee for such license shall be $100.00 <br /> ( 14) Each person engaged in the application of pesticides/herbicides for hire <br /> must possess a valid registration/certification issued by the Department <br /> of Food and Agriculture and must present such upon request. <br /> ( 15) Each water tank vehicle engaged in the spraying of pesticides/herbicides <br /> within the Town of Mashpee shall be inspected by the Board of Health <br /> prior to the application of treatment. An inspection sticker shall be <br /> affixed to such vehicles by the Board of Health. The validity of such <br /> inspection stickers shall be concurrent with the "Pesticide Applicator <br /> License". The inspection sticker feel shall be $10.00 each. <br /> Tnis regulation shallbecome effective on the date following publication. Licenses <br /> and inspection stickers si.all be valid from January 1 thru December 31 annually. <br /> In the event any section of this regulation shall be deemed invalid, such section <br /> shall be deemed severed from the regulation. The remaining sections snail con- <br /> tinue in full force and effect. <br /> Whom ever personally, or as an agent for any firm, violates this regulation may <br /> be punished by a fine or not more than $200.00. Each violation shall constitute <br /> a seperate offense punishable by a fine.
