Creelish motioned to accept the minutes of April 1 , 1989, Mr. Wilson seconded, all agreed. BID OPENING: Mr. Michael -i p ione was in attendance for -the bid opening. Mir. scipione stated a bid bond and registered check from cape cod Bank Trust has been recei e :by s: Qloseph. -DeMaggio General contracting for operational costs for Ashers Path Landfill and solid Waste Transfer Sta- tion. r Mr. Costa 9stated 1s.*,j'0Seph De ag io Generai contracting has subbmited ar bid in the amount of $290,000.00 and a bid bond in the amount o $14,500.00. Mr. scipione read the three year breakdown of costs as written in the bid contract and commented there is an increase of $10,000.00 per year for 2 years. Mr. scipione explained the following items would be con- sidered for either additions or deletions, (also stated in contras ; in the event that the town exercises their option to require the con- tractor on- tr cto to monitor the recycle operations, (i n the event work is riot performed by contractor awarded the bid), on a monthly basis the price is $850.00, i f the town were -to provide -their own gated eep r record- e per a credit would be given or a deduction on a monthly payment of $1 ,080.00, and if the town was to allow the use of a borrow pit on-site rather than have the contractor furnish the daily corer matri ai acre- dit re- d i t f $6,700.00 per on-thwould be utilized bar the town. 1r. Scipione stated his f i rm would project the amount of cubic yards need for cover material . Mr. costa stated the only contractor to submit a bid for operations at the landfill/transfer station is S.
