Mr. Gree l i sh motioned 'to accept'-the minutes of May 1 . 1989, Mr. Doherty <br /> seconded,, -all agreed. <br /> 3. Discussion of _privies - Mr. McQuaid explained to the Board three privies <br /> were diScovered in the Setonsett Island area and commentedone appear to <br /> have been abandoned,, the second appears -to have been in use last summer <br /> the third is presently in use. Mr. McQuaid stated according to Title <br /> regulations, neer priories are no longer permissible and existing priories <br /> may remain in use with Boa r'd- f Health approva 1 however maintenance and <br /> construction regulations must be' adhered to. M . McQuaid commented two <br /> of the cottages appear} to have indoor plumbing however questioned the <br /> Board as' to whether privies should be grandfathered if incoo-r plumbing <br /> is available. Mr. McQuaid suggested the Board consider the requirements � <br /> if indoor plumbing ' is not available and Title V requirements cannot be � <br /> met. <br /> Mr. Creel i sh stated he would lire a letter forwarded to each owner pures- <br /> tioning their reason for maintaining the use of a privy on their lot and <br /> suggested they be forwarded as certified mail . <br /> The Board was in argreeane. <br /> 4. Copy of memo from Agent to Fire Dept, re: Underground storage tank at <br /> Town Ha - Mr, McQuaid in-formed the Board the tank is located --in front <br /> of 'the building within 50 feet of the existing well . Mr. McQuaid stated <br /> he withdrew water for V.O.C. testing last week and Barnstable County will <br /> analyze free of charge. - Mr* McQuaid explained the Fire Department ;i.s. <br /> responsible for the follow-up as commercial tans are under their jur- <br /> istiction. <br /> Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid to keep the Board informed of this matter. <br />
