M I UI Es May 8, 1989 3 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> The Board was in agreeance. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Dennis Scannell regarding Board of Health Well- Policy <br /> Mr. Scannell was in attendance for this discussion <br /> Mr. Scannell explained to the Board that there are many wells in town <br /> that do not meet the loo' requirements from well to septic and commented <br /> if an emergency repair is required this would leave the homeowner without _ <br /> water until such time as a variance is secured. <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented., as written in the policy, the reasoning behind <br /> locating the existing well and abutting well's is to increase the distance <br /> between them and explained there are certain instances where the well driller <br /> is unable to locate the abutting wells and septic systems. <br /> Mr. costa questioned Mr. Scannell as to how often he exceeds the 101 <br /> perimeter from the existing well .' <br /> Mr. Scannell responded; very rarely. <br /> Mr Gree l i sh stated a p ro a l., for.-�±er agency -repairs will be left at the <br /> agents discretion and commented the d i-ller .Wrili be required to maintain the <br /> best separation between well and septic. Mr. Greelish suggested an emergency <br /> repair policy be adopted. <br /> A _ *F <br /> 1 . Variance request (well to septi') cape & Islands for Bartlett, 86 surf <br /> Drive - Pyr. McQuaid stated the owner is, requesting a .101 Variance from <br /> owners well to abutting septic lot,.8 , .a 401, Variance from owners well <br /> to septic and a~ 101 Variance from o n,ers reserve to abutting well .(lot 85) . <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board plans filed are according to the master _ <br /> plan. , <br /> Mr., Greet i sh ,motioned to gran.tit-the 10"- Variance from owners well -,.to <br /> abutting septic lot 8 ., a+,40 1 Variance from owners well to septic and <br /> a 101 Vafta n ce from owners reserve to abutting well (lot 8 as requested <br /> with the stipulation plans submitted are according to the master plan <br /> filed with this off i.ce, Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> 13. ) Perc extension request, Upper cape Engineering, lot 7 Vista Circle - Mr. <br /> McQuaid informed the Board the perc test was performed January 7, 1986 <br /> and a septic permit issued June 6,, 1986 and stated both the perc and <br /> septic permit have expired. <br /> Mr. Gree l i sh motioned to deny -the perc extension request, Mr. Doherty <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> 14. Variance request, septic tank to proposed addition, Hansford, 98 Uncle <br /> Per y' s Road - fir. Costa stated he will step down from this Variance <br /> request due to a conflict of interest. <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board the owner is requesting a 2' Variance <br /> from the foundation and commented abutters and owners are receiving <br /> High Iood Water. <br /> Mr. Gree l i sh motioned to arrant the 21 Variance from tank to foundation <br /> as requested, Mr. Doherty seconded. <br />
