TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> 'BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> MEETING <br /> June 8, 1989 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: George R. Costa and Stephen J. Greelish <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING. IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSCRIBING <br /> MINUTES. <br /> Mr. George R. Costa, Chairman <br /> 1 . ) Warrants signed <br /> 2. ) Mr. Greelish motioned to accept the minutes of June 1 , 1989, Mr. Costa <br /> seconded. <br /> 3. ) Appointment of Animal Inspector ans Assistant - Mr. Greelish motioned <br /> to appoint Dr. David Lowrance Animal Inspector for the town of Mashpee <br /> and to appoint Ms'. June 'Daley, Animal -Control- officer for the town of <br /> Mashpee as Assistant Animal Inspector for the town of Mashpee, Mr. Costa <br /> seconded. <br /> 4. ) Copy of memo from C. 'Jacobson to Sticker personnel re: Operations - The <br /> Board acknowledged receiving the memo. <br /> 5. ) Copy of memo from' C. Jacobsonrto Ernie re: Temporary landfill passes - <br /> The Board acknowledged -receiving the memo. <br /> 6. ) Memo from Ernie re: Clean-upof Pie' <br /> dump sites - Mr. Costa stated <br /> and indivi ua shou d be stationed at these sites to .determine who is <br /> dumping illegally. <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented the Ashers Path area and Noisy Hole Road area have <br /> been sited as ongoing dumping sites and explained that Mr. Virgilio' s <br /> crew has been researching the refuse to determine its owner. Mr. McQuiad <br /> informed the Board that the Noisy Hole Area contains a few 50 gallon drums. <br /> Mr. Greelish commented if either Health Agent discovers refuse illegally <br /> dumped to tag it and 'bring it to the office so that its contents may be <br /> gone thru and a clue as to its owner may be found. <br /> Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid to forward a memo to the Selectmen in- <br /> forming them that the Board of Health supports the article regarding <br /> a fine for illegal dumping. <br /> Mr. Evans voiced his concern with imposing a fine for illegal dumping <br /> by Health Agents, <br /> Mr. Greelish stated Health Agents will have authority to impose fines. <br />
