MINUTES August 1 , 1989 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> . Agent' s suggested response to perc extension request from flu l.t%vest - <br /> i <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated he reviewed the pert logs and recommended those lots <br /> that showed no ground water elevation be granted a final one If. <br /> r eters! <br /> s i on, however -this Board would wait to receive the well comp l ri-on logs <br /> prior to the issuance of septic permits. 1r. McQuaid stated the remain- <br /> . ing six lots,, where ground water was detected, a r -perc should be con- <br /> ducted. <br /> The Board was in agreeance and upon notion duly rude by Mr. Greelish <br /> an - seconded by Mr. Doherty voted unanimously to extend th-e perk per <br /> Mr. cQuaid's recommendations and to have the six lots, where ground <br /> water was detected, re-perked. <br /> 10.) Revised pians , Benchmark for Holland, 180 Uncle Percy's Road, Variance <br /> required 1r. McQuaid informed the Board variances were requested at <br /> a prior meeting for septic tank and leach field to the foundation. Mr. <br /> McQuaid stated he suggested to the engineer that he relocate the house <br /> as floe required distances to the foundation could them be met and the <br /> Board would look more favorable upon granting a sideline variance from <br /> the street. Mr. McQuaid uaid co mented 1001 distances have been maintained <br /> from abutting wells, excluding block 1 , . Iot 21 , however this lot is <br /> hooked into High flood Water. Mr. tic ua.i d explained he did request the <br /> Engineer to submit a letter from the owner stating they do not intend <br /> to- use the well for drinking ing purposes. He commented the owner did re- <br /> fuse that request on the basis that they may use the we 1 i for d-ri n i ng <br /> purposes at a Later date. Mr. <br /> McQuaid stated he did mention to, the Board, at that time, the proposed well ,, <br /> which is also just barely 100' feet, could have been relocated to the southeast <br /> corner which would have created a greater distance between well and septic. Mr. <br /> McQuaid stated a well driller. came in and pulled a repair permit for this lot, <br /> which is not unusual being an old lot, Lhe repair permit was issued-, two days <br /> later plans were submitted which obviously indicated -this is a new well , Mr. <br /> McQuaid explained, in his opinion, the repair permit should not have been issued <br />
