DiMaggio - School Rubbish <br /> Mr. DiMaggio was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. DiMaggio informed the Board the trash truck from the school is current- <br /> ly disposing of materials at the iandfill approximately 3 'to 5 times per day, <br /> Mr. Greelish relayed to Mr. DiMaggio all equipment at the new school was <br /> to be disposed of by the school contractor net the landfill contractor and that <br /> the large of amounts of cardboard boxes are due to the unpacking of materials <br /> stored during the summer months and various paraphernalia found unnecessary <br /> for the upcoming ,year. Mr. Greelish informed Mr. DiMaggio Mr. McQuaid did esti- <br /> mate the number of trips, as it now stands the town is obligated to pay for a <br /> minimum of 7700 tons, however estimates show the town as 2000 tons short. Mr. <br /> Greelish explained considering Mr. DiMaggiors -rate it has been determined that <br /> he should not exceed 185 trips for the year and in actuality should be less than <br /> that. <br /> Mr. DiMaggio suggested the school purchase a paper bin which would lessen <br /> the number of trips -to the landfill , <br /> Mr. DiMaggio stated Mr. McQuaid informed hire that Town Counsel has ascer- <br /> tained <br /> scer- <br /> tained that the school department may make payments to him for trash disposal . <br /> Mr. Greelish informed Mr. DiMaggio h does not support an additional fee <br /> from the school to Mr. DiMaggio as this would set a precedent. <br /> M . Costa explained to Mr. DiMaggio that it was this Boards decision that <br /> school rubbish would be excepted at the landfill on a trial basis until January <br /> and questioned Mr. DiMaggio as to whether he remembered this discussion. <br /> r,- DiMarggio stated there was a conversation that took place between this <br /> Board and himself at which time the Board stated it was to be on a -terporary <br /> basis at his expense. Mr. DiMaggio stated it was his understanding only <br /> threei-p .�per _-week to--the Regional Transfer Station would be neo- <br />
