MINUTES November Bo-, 1989 3 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to grant a variance from the moratorium area in <br /> order for installation of a well at 204 Asher' s path with the stipula- <br /> tion a V.O.C. test is submitted meeting all recommended levels of con- <br /> taminents and necessary Board of Health waivers are signed by the Board <br /> and owners and filed with the 'Registry of Deeds, Mr. Greelish seconded. <br /> APPo l 1 TOENT: charlotte Stieffel - Underground Storage Tank Regulations <br /> Discussion took place. rega.rding a more effective way in which homeowners <br /> ou i d be required to register their tanks. <br /> Mr. Greelish stated he has -researched why homeowners are not complying <br /> with -the regulations to register their tanks, one issue being the cost of <br /> pulling the tanks and replacement. Tomassetti , '27 Pugin horn Point - <br /> r. McQuaid informed the Board the owner i's proposing an addition and <br /> r� <br /> proposes to upgrade the system to Title. . Variance requested is from <br /> the -existing well .to the proposed Title V system. <br /> Mr. Doherty voiced his concern over the close proximity between existing <br /> well and proposed septic. <br /> Mr. Greelish requested 1r. c uaid to inform the engineer of this Board' s <br /> concerns and to request revised plans as there are a.1-ter%nati e locations <br /> inwhich -to place the well and septic which would maintain adequate dis- <br /> - -tances between well and septic. <br /> 17. ) Appointment of permanent part-time clerk - Upon motion duly made by Mr. <br /> Doherty and seconded by Mr. Greelish voted to appoint Denise Sullivan <br /> r� <br /> to the position of part-time clerk to the Bodrd of Health and to waive <br /> the probationary period for benefits purposes only, as Ms. Sullivan has <br /> been employed by the Board of Health for the previous -two years ,, fir. <br /> reelish- seconded. <br />
