MINUTES December 7, 1989 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> 16. ) Perk extension request, den Bova, "Winslow Heights" _- 22 Perks per- <br /> formed ju ly 1986 - -twice tended - Mr. McQuaid informed the Board <br /> the Planning Board has released the covenant. Extensions expired in <br /> April 1989. <br /> M , Greelish recommended well soundings to be conducted. <br /> Mr . McQuaid commented that substantial changes in the topography of <br /> some lots have taken-place and suggested re-perking. <br /> M r i McQuaid 1 %/Y 1 4 men V 5.r4 F, alternative %.} re-perking, suggesting <br /> agents inspect eachsite,, if agents determine that a substantial <br /> change in II the topography of the lot has taken place thea re-perking <br /> .will be required, if no change has taken place a well log completion <br /> report submitted prior to sigh-off of the septic permit, will be <br /> accepted. <br /> Board members were in agreeance to Mr. McQuaid ' s recommendations. <br /> 2124 Shorewood Drive <br /> Mr. McQuaid 1nfermed -the Board re-testing for V.O.C. ' s was perf6rmed <br /> by Barnstable county. Results continued to report high. levels of Methylene <br /> Chloride. Mr. McQuaid commented in speaking with Ren Saari and Lee I-ripe <br /> they were of the opinion that over chlorination took place thus creating <br /> metha.ne gas. Lee Tripp suggested another re-test, flushirig twenty-four <br /> hours prior sample taking. <br /> Mr. Gree l i h stated he would lie a copy f the re-testing an <br /> suggested further investigation as Chemical constituents do indicate a <br /> possible link i-tn Otis Air Force Base. <br /> 23 uncle Edwards Read <br /> 1r. McQuaid explained two peres were performed on this let the last <br /> one on fove'mber 2, 1989. Mr. McQuaid recommended the Board request the <br /> engineer to attend the meeting to discuss the reason for omitting on plans <br /> strip-out requirements and abutters approval .
