leach pit and then it can drop into the drainage swarle. It is very difficult
to understand what Mr. Santos is saying at this point in time because of
other noise.)
Mr. Harrington had spoke to Mr. Fudala about the slope swales also. But,
he didn't like the slope s ales next to the road due to contamination. His
example was what if a car crashes and the gas rims down under the
grass. Mr. Fudala wanted the best of both worlds, which left Mr.
Harrington batting his head against the wall.
Mr. Doherty started that the BOH was pretty clear on this. They were not
in the business of marking any mosquito nurseries.
Mr. Harrington stated that Mr. Fudala understands that but-aurin wants
to have the best of both worlds.
Mr. Santos made a motion to continue this topic until the next meeting.
Mr. Ball seconded the motion. Motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS:
A. smokin_s Regulations: (This portion of the minutes is verbatirr.
Mr. Doherty, "Giving the recent past hearings that we have had and
public comment and studies that involve second hand smoke. I guess i need to
make myself clear. 1 don't have the enact wording down yet.
I have heard a lot of arguments for an adults right to choose to smoke. I
agree with than. If you want to choose to smoke that is fine. 1 think the
issue here is not whether you should barn smoking here there or
anywhere, But, that public gathering places where all of the public
including children should offer relatively free without contaminants.
Nothing is going to be perfect. As 1 have said before if you want clean air.
You are going to have shut down all of the power plants and stop all of
the cars. I think it is reasonable to expect than we can go into the
supermarkets, restaurants, theatres and publicly owned buildings and
expect relatively free and clean arir, some people are going to disagree
with me but 1 also recognize that there are certain gather places where
adults and I am going to say adults only than like to go and smoke. If that
