Ball, "No almost two years.'
member of the audience, "Will you explain your decision now?"
Mr. Doherty, "Will I explain the decision? The board Inas perceived that
there was a letter seat to asking us to enact a town wide smoking ban
and we've denied that request. We all agree. 1 think Steve is agreeable to
looking at the regulations to make changes and upgrades to it. I want to
ban smoking restaurants and bars where patrons of all ages are allowed.
If an individual again this is just my opinion the changes that I would like
to see, If an individual would like to have a bar completely adult facility
with no children allowed. It is
pretty much cut and dry that if you are going to walk into that store you
are either going to buying cigars or you are looking for something or a
nice cigarette case. That environment...l don't what you can compare it
to and other than that all buildings in town. Because' 1 know that in the
past they have been beaten up in the press and in the radio. This doesn't
mean that if you are walking down Route 28 you can't smoke - cigarette.
If the ban did go through and you wanted to have a deck outside your
2
