f
I -
Mr. Harrington replied that they had meet with Tulanian today. There was
a question of capacity. They have added other buildings to their project.
They may not be looking for the additional capacity, A couple of years -
ago they may have had room for the Deer Crossing facility. There is
additional information they meed. Mr. Tularnian may not be out there
looking stili because of the question of capacity lips bVen resolved. .... .,
Mr. Haflar continued by suggesting that the BOH give.them two years if
they warted there hooked into a severer system project that would allow
them to tie in. However, it would appear that things are much further
down the road than expected. Maybe they could come back in a year and
discuss what has transpired.
Mr. Ball stated that he liked their letter in that it stated that they needed
a one-year extension and then have an option to extend it if necessary.
This would depend on their showing a good effort to resolve the
situation. However, he would like to see something done because the
whole purpose of that regulation is to protest the groundwater acquifer, `
Mr. Hajjar continued by stating that in terms of the money. The money is
being set aside at the closing with the bank to finance it once they go
ahead.
Mr. Ball didn't have a problem with this request.
Mr. Santos states that he agreed with Mr. Harrington and that they
needed to come up with some type of bine frame.
Mr. Harrington asked if he could throw something at therm. one thing he
was thinking about was that there is a couple of ways to do this. They
were requesting one year. He felt that that was a big leap for twelve
months for this type of project. However,.because the state allows five
years on a failed system if it was going to have additional work, which it
is because the BOH is asking for denitrification~. Four out of the five
properties at Deer crossing meet the 600 GPD. Essentially they could
complete one property per year and phase it in over the next four years.
If they wanted to do one property per year for five years. That would be if
they warted to do an on-site system. We don't know that this-is-,what _. . ... ..
they wanted to do, He wanted to allow them a three-month period to
investigate to speak with Tulaniarn and l lashpee Commons, They also
needed to obtain proposals to do four different on-sites or one big on-site
system. If the BOH was made aware of these options within a three-
month periost of time they could make a decision at that point. The
proposal time is dome and the design phase can begin and the
construction period can go for a certain period of time.
3
