I
Mr. Ball asked if the workers could install a septic system without being
licensed,
Ills, Warden responded that that wasn't correct. she could give him
prune example. You own a company such as Bortolotti's. Miert go out to
install the system. When the system is finished the installer goes out
there to make sure the nen installed it correctly.
Mr. Ball stated that as far as the well drillers are concerned it would be
the same, it Wouldn't natter because the non-licensed person could
install the well too.
Ills. Warden agreed,
Mr. Ball felt that they should be consistent in their approach to both of
these policies.
* Warden added that in case of the well drillers there are no as builts.
However, lr. Harrington wants to change that policy and have the well
drillers sign off on an as built as opposed to the installers who have to
sign an as built that confirms that they have installed the system.
Mr. Ball asked if they wanted to.add that language into the policy.
Ms. Grady asked why the well drillers did not have to submit an as built.
Mr, Harrington stated that they don't have to submit an as built for
location. They have to submit a well completion report with a log, the date
and where the actual screen is set. As far as an as built that shovers the
location of the wells they de a very poor job. A lot of times there are n
objects around in order to locate therm from. But, still he would like to
request that they provide something whether it be telephone pole or a
piece of curb in order to get some more indication of where the wells are
going in. That is the hardest thing to do when people request this
Information, We have no idea other than a proposed location. A lot of
tines the wells don't go in.the proposed location which makes therm
difficult to located
llAs, Grady stated that they have had people who have core before them
for illegal installations three times since she has been on the board, she
felt that these policies would push this issue to the end. Where is the
employee turnover and delegation issue. Her position was that the person
who is licensed should pull the permit.
Ms.Warden felt that ills. Grady was bringing up some very valid points.
The board has had these problems later.
21 :
