Could they grant thein a variance to allow smoking in that <br /> room <br /> Ms. Grady physically responded no. <br /> Mr. Ball asked her why not* <br /> Ms. Grady replied that it was an exposed area that would still affect any <br /> other non-smoker that walked into that facility, <br /> Mr, Ball countered that it was a designated smoking area. <br /> Ms. Grady stated that they would end up allowing designated smoking <br /> areas in every single workplaces <br /> Mr. Ball responded that they don't Imre to allow it. Marring inspected the Tinderbox there is a smoking room for <br /> smokers only. Where were ashtrays and other items for smokers. No one <br /> would go in there unless they wanted to have a smoke and that is the - <br /> point of this particular room. How could she justify not granting a variance <br /> when the probability of a non-smoker entering that room was not great? <br /> Ms. Grady felt that she couldn't be certain that a non-smoker would not <br /> enter the room.
