Ms, Warden added that she hadn't issued one in five years.
Mr. Santos asked if they were in agreement to leave it the way it is.
Ms, Warden stated that the ones that were going-to come forward cane
forward fen years argo. She honestly didn't believe that they were going to
get anyrmoree That was a program that Barnstable County started and
what they did was list all of their tags. They send out reminders every so
often that they have to have them tested. It is difficult to get the
homeowners to do that because of the costs involved and not only that
but after 25 years they want them pulled= It is a very costly process. It
had enough to get there to come in newer rind pull then,
Ir. Harrington added that they were going to change the underground
storage tank regulation too. He wanted to put some teeth into it.
Mr. Ball referred therm to page one of the fees under the sewerage/water
area. He asked if they were in the sane fee range for perms tests as the
other towns.
Mr. Harrington replied that they were pretty much at $100.00.
Mr. Ball asked the other board members what they thought of raising the
fee.
Mr. Santos felt that they should keep it consistent with the other towns.
Ms. Grady stated that they didn't keep the tobacco fee consistent with the
other towns' fees.
Mr. Ball asked what the tobacco fee was.
Ms. Grady responded that the permit fee for tobacco sales was only $5.00.
Whereas, in most of the towns in Barnstable it was more than that. she
couldn't remember what It was, but it was more than that. She tried to
raise the fee in the original draft and they all shot her don. It was only
$5.00 and they would not increase it.
1
Ms. Warden suggested that they start at the beginning of the list and go
from there.
Mr. Ball asked if they wanted to keep the same or go to a $100.00 fee.
Ms. Grady asked why they would be less than any other town.
