Ir
detailed by the police. That got their attention. They called back and
advised that they were going to brim their trucks back for inspection.
They said that they were going to be in last Wednesday, They showed up
in the morning with their application.
Ills. Carron noted that three separate sets of people showed up. One care
its at 9:00 AIIII and one at 10:00 AM that didn't know that the first person
had been in already. Thea one at 2:00 PM who had just realized that
someone at management had scheduled an appointment for that hour.
Nobody seemed to knew what the other one was doing.'
Mr. Harrington added that they didn't speak to one anothero Their Woburn
office, which they call their Boston office, hadn't spoken with their
Plymouth office who supposedly set up the appointment to meet with the
board. They just set something up with him and didn't tell anybody else.
They were the guys who have the local trucks, He called back and got
therm in to inspect two of their truck. They were time. All they had to do is
keep the stuff frozen, The product is all rock hard. They needed to clean
some of the mold inside because the deliveryrmen just constantly open
and close the doom. He had them clean it. They couldn't produce a state
food peddler's license either. He called the state to let therm know.
Ms. Warden wanted to add one more point,, The trucks that they brought in
had numbers on them, The only truck that she saw and wrote down the
number on was not one of the trues that they brought by to be licensed*
Mr. Farrington stated that the two drivers that came in inferred that they
handled all of the Cape deliveries. He felt that they were a couple-of
"operators"*
Ills, Warden gave the number to Mr, Harrington and neither one of those
4}: trucks had that number*
Mr. Ball asked how long either one of them had been doing this route.
Were they old-timers?
Ms. Warden responded that last summer when she was out of work they
were delivering to her neighborhood* There were two trucks doing her
neighborhood. she advised therm they had picked the wrong house and
suggested that they get to town hall to pull a permit.
Mr. Ball wanted to hit these guys hard, He remembered that they were in
front of the board three or four years ago.
Ms. Warden interjected that it was longer than that.
may '.
i
