Mr. Santos added that in the past they have charged the $25.00 for one
day's worth of permits on a multiple day event or just one $25,00 fee for
all of the permits being submitted. He thought that that would be a fair
approach,
Mr. BalI then suggested $15.00 or $10.00 per vendor.
Ms. Warden suggested that they put themselves in the restaurants'
position. They were donating their time and their food.
Mr. Ball asked what the statement said. What does the state say? This i
being done out of the kindness of their hearts.
Mr. Harrington responded that the state doesn"t say anything about it. It
was up to the BOH to set the fees. The state doesn't have any fee
schedule for this. It was totally up to the BOH.
Ir. Santos re-iterated that they go for the one fee for all of the permitting
involved versus whacking each individual for the fee.
IVIS. Warden countered that the Poor Wow was not non-profit.
5
Mrs Ball suggested that they look at the people on the list. It was Dinols,
carbo's and all of these other people that should be able to pay a $25.00
fee,
Ms, Warden responded that they were already given their food and time
away under the tent in Mashpee Commons.
Mr, Harrington felt that the chamber of Commerce would ultimately pay
the fee. He didn't think that the chamber would charge the vendors or
they probably would go away.
Ms. Warden suggested that the board charge the chamber the fee.
Mrs Ball felt that it was only helping business in the chamber, He felt that
they should go full fee. He felt that they could afford it.
Mr, Ball made a motion to deny the request from the ll ashpee chamber of
Commerce to waive the temporary food permit fee but approve the
request for the permits from each vendors Ms, Grady seconded the motion.
Mrs Santos opposed the motion. Motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
a -
. I old great Fleck load ..._}
,r
r -
y
.i
3
