shows a leaching pit located under a garage.
Y
Mr. Ball asked Mr. Golub if he knew that it was located there when he
bought the house. Who did the ritle V inspection} Did they even have
then then?
Mr. Golub began by stating that he wanted to tell therm a funny story. It
was a bank foreclosure when they bought the house. Dick Dugan built the
house for J. J. Sullivan twelve years ago. Did they know Diol He was an
attorney who did a lot of real estate work in the towns
Ms. warden noted that they knew his wife because she was on the
Selectmen Committees
Mr, Golub continued that he was using him to close on the house and
called him on the phone and told him he was an idiot, He asked hire what
kind of idiot puts a septic pit under a garage floor, He claimed that he
didn"t do it, He gave it to J. J. Sullivan. Mir. Sullivan took the house over
after he did. He claimed not to know anything about it. He said o'rnon.
That was his comment, Believe him, the first he knew about it was when
they gave hire a clean bill of health of the distribution tank. He took the
two measurements that show it to be under the garage. It was a foot to a
foot and one half outside the garage, A concrete.floor covered the balance
of the leach pit.
Mr. Ball asked if it was the tank or the pit.
Mr. Farrington confirmed that it was the pit.
Mr. Ball asked if the buyers were aware of this.
Mr. Golub stated that they had just told therm that.
Mr. Ball asked what they felt about it.
Mr. Golub told therm that he was coning to the BOH and that he had two
r three different solutions* They asked him to Keep therm informed.
Mlr. Ball asked what his solutions would be.
Mir. Golub stated that the easiest solution was to not do anything. But,
obviously you need access, He thought his suggestion was reasonable
because he had spoken to a couple of builders about it. He would get a
concrete cutter, cut a hole in the concrete, put a support mechanism
underneath the slab that was out out. Put the slab back in that was
29
