She is now in a shelter, What the <br /> housing assistance people wanted us to do was to go in and condemn the <br /> home in order to turn around to him and say that by divorce decree that <br /> he was supposed to take care of the house* There were two kids involved. <br /> They were teenagers. They have moved out of the house because of the <br /> conditions. He had obtained a letter from her giving them permission to go <br /> into the house. They posted the house today. He would like the board to <br /> review this and issue a finding. <br /> i <br /> Mr, Ball asked what were IVIr. Harrington's recommendations and findings. <br /> Mr. Harrington recommended that the board consider it uninhabitable for <br /> human habitation. They had posted it. They would probably concur with <br /> their decision. He thea presented the board with pictures of the home. <br /> Ms. Warden added that in the housing code that water and electricity are <br /> major components of condemnation of the house. She met almost all of <br /> those components. <br /> Mr. Harrington stated that it really wasn't that bad. He had seen a lot <br /> worse. The dogs had been left there for not that long. <br /> IVIS. Marden added that the dogs had been good. They had gone in one <br /> particular area in the house, So it wasn't throughout the house. She <br /> wanted to add that the housing corporation that the woman became ill <br /> due to the circumstances of living in the house. She contracted <br /> pneumonia. She was transferred to a shelter* They are hoping to get her <br /> from there to an immediate housing,, They are hoping that this will force <br /> the enc-husband to make the necessary repairs. <br /> Mr. Santos asked if Mr. Wheeler had been involved with the abandoned <br /> vehicles on the property. <br /> IVIS. Warden replied that they had reviewed the abandoned vehicle by-law. <br /> But, it was the police who were responsible for these cars, When you look <br /> at it who were they going to cite? There was no one to cite. <br /> Mr. Santos added that the police were only going to get involved if there <br /> was more than one unregistered vehicle on the property. <br /> Ms. Warden responded that there were four unregistered vehicles. <br />
