Grady asked if everyone was going to be participating. <br /> Mr. Harrington stated that he expected everybody to be present on <br /> speakerphone to participate. <br /> B. Review of Draft for Bedroom Regulation <br /> Mr. Ball asked if they needed a full board to review the regulation. <br /> Mr. Harrington stated that they did net need a full beard to review the <br /> draft of a regulation. He began by stating that it was a draft regulation <br /> defining a bedroom. It was nary similar to the policy he had in place <br /> requiring the six-foot cased opening. If they looked at "E" it also included <br /> a room located on another level of the dwelling that was accessible solely <br /> by a staircase in or outside of the dwelling. This covered the rooms above <br /> garages or if it was a detached garage with a room over it. The only way <br /> to get around this was to have a six-foot opening from the second floor to <br /> the rooms over the garages because these are the ones that end up being <br /> converted. They were the hardest to police as far as bedrooms. <br /> Mr. Ball asked if any of the hones would be grandfathered. <br /> Ilrflrr, Harrington said no because all of the rooms right now that are move a <br /> garage and being used as a bedroom...he took this from another town. It <br /> was a definite bone of contention because they had approved quite a few <br /> rooms that would meet this right now. He didn't know exactly how to <br /> word this because it was a catch 2 . It was the hardest thing they had to <br /> do. But, it was something they couldn't stop people from having either. <br /> Mr. Ball re-iterated that it was a draft. Mr. Santos would get his package <br /> for this meeting and they would address it at the next meeting. <br /> Mr. Harrington stated that right now other than the "Ell portion of the <br /> definition was the board's current policy. They would just like to make a <br /> regulation. They had been happy with it so far. But, those rooms that get <br /> 2 <br />
