5
i
F
}
warehouse for frozen food in this sane facility. she did not get into the
calculations for that because they already had the marital arts issue. That
was were this stood. The plans were approved using water meter
readings because the use was not specified. It was net necessary, but if
they had consulted with the DEP they wound have made them use the
calculations for a gymnasium.
Mr. Ball asked hover many students the martial arts school had. What was
the maximum number of students?
Ms. Warden replied that they did not have that information. They asked
them to provide this information.
Mr. Grady started that he'had received a letter from Mr. Harrington. They
asked to cone to this meeting tonight to alloy them some.time. In the
interim he suggested to Mr. Schulman of cotton Place and Mr. DiMarggio of
USA [ung Fu, that he install a water meter and begin to document the
water usage. This was a new establishment and he would imagine that as
the bays turn over that this question would come up again. He did have
some water meter readings for the last week. It had only been a short
period of time that the system has been in place.
i -
i
Mr. Ball asked if they were below the 600 GPD.
Mr. Grady stated that they were well below the 600 GPD. There had only
been 53 GPD used for the last week. It was a tenth of the daily flow that it
was designed for. This was at full occupancy. They did not anticipate
conning near that design. The original design water usage was based on a
similar establishment for a property located at 211 Mid-Tech Drive in
Yarmouth, There were contractors and condominiums. Where were eight
units and the building was over 100400 square feet. The overall footprint
of the building was lamer. But, the number of units was smaller. There .
were four yLaars of water usage, which were average and cane out to 18.2
GPD. They then used 200% of that reading on the plan at 36 DPD per unit.
He was sure that this figure took into account summer water usage that
might be used outside the building. so that wouldn't be generated
wastewater, It was probably conservative in that nature.-He was pretty
sure that that design was conservative relative to the water usage. They .
could continue to provide you with some of these grater meter readings
for a specified time to let you have some comfort that they were not
approaching near their design level for the grater usage.
Mr. Bali stated that he wanted to clarify that right now they were getting
60 GPD*
1
