a
a
Mr. Harrington responded that they had everything had been reparred with
the exception of that one. They had all of the other soil vents put back on.
He would have to-speak with D, Am Scannell Well Drilling to askh]I it had
not been one,
lr. Santos stated that that was his only question, They had set aside
money that he thought had to do with the repairs and assumed that they
had been completed,
i
Ms. Grady stated that she remembered them talking about PVC pipe.
Mr, Harrington stated that that was related to the six-inch vents But, this
was the only one that could be fined. They couldn't find one of them. He
would have to speak with Scannell Drilling and determine why It was not
fined.
Ms,, Grady asked if they were at all concerned with the fact the arsenic
level was higher than the recommended level.
Mr. Harrington stated that those were drinking grater levels. Granted they
towered it for everybod m They had one other well that had an arsenic
problem but it got connected up to town water. He did not know what the
state was going to do because they went ahead and lowered the MCL. He
was unsure what their action was going to be per this water not being
drawn clean It was a reportable level, He did not know if they were going
to make it an action level to tape any action on.
Mr. Santos stated that he had heard was that they were even looking to
reduce the monitoring, that was affordable regarding the number of
sampling rounds in a year?
Mr. Harrington stated that he had spoken to Mr. St. Michel from Woodard
Curran and he was going to try to get a hold of Mr,, Ellis to see if he had -•
a chance to review the hoard's request for reduction. He wouldg ive hila a
call tomorrow.
Mr. Santos stated that he had been dealing with aerson who worked
# for
Mr. Ellis. Usually if you get a response it would be from the person who
worked for Dave Ellis. It wasn't usually from Mr. Ellis. It was this person
who suggested to Mr. Santos that they request it. It would appear that
they were positive about these requests. The backgrounds that have been
in that water that they had been sampling for years are consistent or they
have gone down. Most of that stuff was not corning from the landfill; A lot
of that stuff was lead and was essential background and was consistent
with the wells throughout the Cape.
3
