S
7
a
Mr. Harrington asked Mr. Santos if he would entertain approving this
application pending three positive remarks from references. They did
submit the $500,00 and $1I check.
Mr. Santos made a motion to approve the application for a Waste Haulers
Permit for Waste Solutions pending the approval of three positive
responses. Ms. Grady seconded the motion. Motion passed.
. Review & Approval of Revised FY 2005 Landfill Mon itorinat onsulting
Contract
Mr. Harrington stated that-the state had approved the reduction in
monitoring for the landfill. So they requested Woodard & Curran provide
them with a new contract and proposal at the reduced monitoring. The
monitoring was reduced by $800,00. He thought it would have been a little
more than that.
Mr. Santos asked ghat the reduction was.
Mr. Harrington stated that none of the gas was, reduced only the
groundwater and surface water sampling that was reduced. Their fees went up a couple of hundred
dollars in a couple of spots.
Mr. Santos had a problem with that. The only amendment to the original
contract should have been a reduction in their costs for analytical.
Mr. Harrington stated that they did not know what that was. They didn't
know what the analytical costs were.
Mr. Santos felt that they had to prove it to them in an invoice with a
breakdown,
Mr. Harrington replied that they could ask for that. The county lab is their
client and they dict not have to release it. But, if they wanted the contract
he supposed they would.
{
Ms. Carron stated that they just got the bill and the results from the
county lab.
Mr. Santos stated that they should pay the county lab themselves and
4
