. Approval of Public Session Minutes of 1/02/08, 1/23/08, and Executive Session <br /> Minute f 1/06/05, 12120/05 and 4/14/05. Approval of all minutes was continued until the <br /> net BOH meeting with all Board members present. <br /> . 130H Review of Kennel Permit Requests is — David H rs h, Sadly Robbins/Carol <br /> Buchanan, arlerie Robinson, Lillian Ainsworth, Carr larnne K. Hoover, Doris Hughes. <br /> Glen Harrington started that veronica Warden is still finalizing the regulation process for kennel <br /> approval. The BOH will require a plan review before giving final approval for kennel permits. <br /> Inspections of the kennels by Fennel Inspectors (Animal Officer and/or BOH member) also will <br /> be required. Glen Harrington noted that the form provided by the Town Cleric's office asks hove <br /> many dogs will be in each kennel,_ The permit request forms used by David Harr h, Sadly <br /> Robbins/Carol Buchanan and Valerie Robinson Fr ere submitted prior to the availability of the <br /> form provided by the Town Clerk's office, and do not state the number of dogs in their kennels. <br /> Glen Harrington recommended that the BOH give conditional approval to the above-listed <br /> kennel requests until the final plan review is in place. Glen Harrington reported individually on <br /> each of the six kennels, stating that thea were no complaintsn file for any of them. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that Veronica Warden has prepared an inspection form for use by the <br /> Kennel Inspector, with a checklist of items to be approved during ar kennel inspection. . <br /> Luer Burton made a motion that the BOH approve the kennel permit requests submitted b <br /> David Flarsch, Sadly Robbins/Carol Bu harnan, Valerie Robinson, Lillian Ainsworth, Carr larnne K. <br /> Hever and Doris-Hughe , with the following conditions: that they go for a plan review, that <br /> inspections of the kennels be conducted by the fennel Inspector} and that paper kennel <br /> license applications are received from David Harh, at 15 Sunset Strip, Sally Dobbins and <br /> Carol Buchanan at 429 Great Neck Road North, and Valerie Robinson at 911 Main Street. <br /> Jocelyn M Cree seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> . Request for Refund f 2008 Massage Therapist License— Patricia Martin <br /> Glen Harrington stated that at the request of the BOH at the last meeting, he investigated how <br /> many massage facilities and how many massage therapists would be affected, and how-much <br /> money the Town would have to refund to all those affected. Glen reported that there are 23 <br /> therapists and 11 facilities, which would amount t $2,250 in refund runny from the Tern. <br /> Glen stated further that these licenses are not non-refundable. When the refund is requested, it <br /> has to be put on a warrant. Therefore, after the BOH approves the request, it will be put on the <br /> next warrant to go out. Glen Harrington recommended that the Board approve all requests <br /> received in writing prior to 11101/08. <br /> Lucy Burton made a motion to approve all requests for refunds for 2008 licensing fees from ars <br /> ren assage therapist or mas sage facility if the request i s received in writing prior to 11/01108. <br /> ,Jocelyn MCre seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that to date he had received written requests for license fee refunds from <br /> Marry Robertsand Patricialarrtin, and will proceed to process these requests. <br /> . Review of Massage Facilities and Massage Therapists Regulation <br /> Glen Harrington reported on other disciplines not overseen by the State licensing of massage <br /> therapists and massage facilities. The State's website on massage therapists/facilities licensing <br /> has listed exempted individuals practicing other disciplines. The BOH, if it so chooses, could <br /> adopt these other disciplines' no longer covered by the State massage licenses. Glen stated <br /> than he plans to do research on these other disciplines to find out exactly what they are in order <br /> 2 <br />
