The condo has 24 units and Mr. <br /> Bornstein has suggested that each unit owner set aside$10 each month, which the Board felt to be <br /> insufficient. Board members are not satisfied with the letter Mr. Bornstein has submitted and Mr. <br /> Harrington will share the Board's concerns with him. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> 48 Fells Pond Road <br /> Mr. Harrington Will invite Bill Everett to attend the newt meeting. <br /> Seasonal & 111NI Flu Response Update <br /> Mr. Kaplan expressed concern that not enough information has been distributed encouraging people with <br /> flu like symptoms to stag at home, rather than flooding the emergency rooms,until th6 fever is below. <br /> 100.4 for 24 hours without use of fever reducing medications. Board members discussed focusing on <br /> coni-i iunication, education and being prepared as well as the need for a chain of command in the event o <br /> an H IN 1 outbreak. Mr. Harrington noted that healthy individuals are advised to stay at home and <br /> individuals With underlying health conditions are advised to seek medical assistance and are the only ones <br /> who will receive anti-viral medication. Mr. Kaplan described the HINT priority cranking of individuals <br /> who Would receive inoculations and Board members discussed the confusion between the HINI priorities <br /> and seasonal flu priorities. Ms. Egloff discussed eye-catching hand washing posters as well as the <br /> possible need for hand saniti mng products in public places. Mr. Harrington noted that the CDC and Dl <br /> policies recommend routine cleaning for buildings with slightly more emphasis on door handles and{ <br /> desks. <br /> Dates have been scheduled to inoculate and older and immuno-compromised for seasonal flu on <br /> October 19 and any resident on November 2. Mr. Harrington will be meeting with the school for the <br /> Department of Education and Boards of Health conference call. There has been discussion regarding in <br /> house school based clues for seasonal flu. Mr. Ham*ngton will be working on a consent form to <br /> authorize inoculations for children. It is presently unclear who will pay for the Mn-school inoculations and <br /> paramedics would need to be hired to assist. <br /> The DPH and CDC have additional information on their website but Mr. Harrington was unable to locate <br /> posters about cough etiquette. Mr. Caplan expressed great concern about locations such as grocery stores <br /> where cashiers are constantly in contact with others. IVIS. Burton indicated that many have some sort of <br /> anti-bacterial product but that perhaps recommendations could be offered to the management. <br /> Additionally, alterinative means of greeting may be considered in place of hand shaking for such.locations <br /> as churches. It was suggested that the Chamber of Commerce be contacted regarding best practices for <br /> business owners. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Farmers' Market <br /> A health inspection was conducted to check for vendors selling retail foods at the Mashpee Farmers' <br /> Market. It was discov' erect that Common Ground was selling pies,breads, pastries and cakes. William <br /> Snowden,the market manager,visited the SDH office to pay the $50.00 permit and provided copies of <br /> their Town of Barnstable permit.and Certified Food Manager Certificate. Board members also discussed <br /> when and where theFarmers' Market was being conducted. <br />
