Glen Harrington gage the Board <br /> members background information regarding the housing code violation at 21 Horseshoe <br /> Bend Way, stating that the original inspection for this property took place on March 20, <br /> 201 . Glen stated that he spoke to Mr. Girard, owner of the property, after Mr. Girard <br /> received the BOH Order-to Correct letter. IIIb. Girard said he would do the repairs when <br /> he came to the Cape for the summer. The summer passed, and when a follow-up <br /> inspection was conducted by Veronica Warden, it was determined that no work had been <br /> done. A private utility pale that services the cofkage on Ashumet Pond is down. The rain <br /> part of the structure is fine, but the porch is falling apart, the screens are torn apart and the <br /> raccoons have gotten under and around the house and on the porch. The utility lines are <br /> less than 10 feet off the ground. <br /> Lucy Burton ,made a ,notion that the Board of Health fine Mr. Girard $200 for failure to <br /> comply with the previous order to have the work completed, and $25 per day from receipt <br /> of an order letter from the Board of Health, until the work is-completed and a Board of <br /> Health inspection is performed. Calliope E lcff seconded the ,notion. The motion was <br /> unanimously approved. <br /> 7:30—Cheryl O'Brien —Town Water Hookup— 142 Lovell's Lane <br /> Glen Harrington reviewed the background of the situation at 142 Lovell s Lane, stating that <br /> at the 10/1 /1 130 H meeting, it was voted to have the property connected to Town water, <br /> a.s the property owner did not comply with the timefine (10/01/10) to resarnple the well. <br /> Glen stated that IVIS. }Brien contacted him on 10/1411 , the day after the BOH meeting to <br /> say that there were extenuating circumstances as to why the well had not been sampled. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that he had instructed Ms. O'Brien to request a hearing before the <br /> Board. <br /> 1 L yr ll's Lane introduced herself to the Board. <br /> SherylO'Brien, owner of the property at e <br /> Ms. O'Brien stated that in the past, any time she had her well water tested: it was always <br /> tested at the outside spigot. Ms. O'Brien stated that she removed the outside spigot in <br /> preparation for building an addition to her house during the summer, but the work on the <br /> addition was delayed. his. O'Brien was under the impression that she would have to have <br /> the water re-tested at the same spigot, and needed to have the spigot replaced. Glen <br /> Harrington explained to Mils. O'Brien that she could have the water tested Inside the house, <br /> preferably in the bathroom tub. Nis. O'Brien also mistakenly thought the Town would need <br />
