WHITLOW <br /> II MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: <br /> The minutes of February 21, 1996 meeting were accepted as presented. <br /> III REPORTS: <br /> 1. COMPUTER UPDATE: Ann Whitlow reported that there was no change <br /> since last month.' They have the three quotes required. Since <br /> the monies will not be available until July, Ann would like to Put <br /> this issue on hold for a while.. Joanne suggested that anything that <br /> should come up relative to ,Historical Societies or computers, to <br /> please pass the information on to Ann <br /> 2. Grant Writing Workshop update: Aran Whitlow reported that the work- <br /> shop will -begin on Monday, 89.30 a. m, to 6 p. m. in Middleboro at <br /> the American Dung Association, The Grantmanship, Inc. <br /> The commission made a motion that the H. C. would reimburse Ann for <br /> her expenses involved in attending the Grant Writing Workshop. <br /> R. Burns- introduced the motion. Frank -Hicks seconded. All in favor. � <br /> So moved. <br /> Joanne reminded the meeting if they should come across any information r <br /> relative to grants, Ann will be collecting information in a file. <br /> . Marilyn Woods: Joanne reported that she had recently met with Marilyn <br /> Woods who had taught an Indian Education type of program in San Jose, <br /> California for four years. She had amassed a dollection of personal <br /> books in the course of her teaching. She is now -librarian in an <br /> elementary school in Wareham. and ,lives in Ma hpee. She felt the <br /> books would be better u.tilz ed here in the Ma tepee Archive . <br /> Joanne reported further that Rosemary Burns and Marilyn Woods -will <br /> meet with the Mashpee Enterprise on Tuesday at 4 p. m. to prepare an <br /> article on the Archives' growing -library. Joanne felt that the ub- <br /> 1icity would be beneficial to the H. O, <br /> Iv OLD BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Orientation Guide: R. Burns moved that the H. C. accept. the new <br /> Archives regulation's, Welcome to the Iashpee Archives and the Guide- <br /> lines. Frank Hies seconded. All in favor. So moved. <br /> Joanne explained that the WELCOME TO THE MASHPEE ARCHIVES -flyers <br /> have been placed on the table at the entrance to the building. <br /> ,Joanne has encouraged visitors when they arrive at the Archives <br /> to read there. <br />
