We have a . request from the Bourne Historical Society to attend <br /> their- annual spring dinner, Luncheon, election and fund-raising <br /> t the W-eary Travellers in Pocas'set . <br /> Invitation to the Annual meeting of the Bay State Historical <br /> League of which we are members'. <br /> VII OTHER: <br /> A. Ann wanted the commissioners ' permission to purchase the bock, <br /> AFTER KING MILLIP ' S STAR, prise $19. 95 . Ann felt it was well <br /> worth the $20. 00 price, by Colin G. Calloway. <br /> Frank Hicks moved that the Mashpee H. C. purchase a copy of <br /> AFTER IMG PHILLIP ' S WAR. Joanne seconded . All in favor. <br /> So moved . <br /> B.. Protocol : Ann suggested that when the members put in their <br /> time at the Archives , they wear ' the,ir name tangs , so that the <br /> ,public will recognize them. <br /> . Ann explained that they were accountable to our selectmen <br /> for everything Dere at the Archives.' Ann would like <br /> record kept of the copies made on the copy machine, main- <br /> ly to have a record of tomer cost analysis . <br /> 3 . Volunteer and Temporary Wangs Clerk: Ann explained that <br /> the- volunteer,, even though she is a volunteer, she is } <br /> earning a $500 tax break on her areal estate tax bill . 1. 1>A... <br /> These people are here to do a j ob i not to socialize. <br /> He or she wi-LL be salaried. Aran explained that they had <br /> to have certain protocols when there were open to the public . <br /> . An.n explained that in the past it has been our protocol, <br /> if we have been given - gifts , that the gift be brought . before <br /> the commission and accepted. It was our pleasure to receive <br /> from Hamilton Whiting, six old t-own reports . They are very <br /> fragile. Ann asked for a motion. Rosemary Burns moved that <br /> they accept the old tern reports ,with gratitude. All in <br /> favor . - So moved . <br /> Ann has written a mote of thanks. <br /> Ann suggested that they copy these reports for the use of <br /> the commission members , and temporarily store the originals <br /> in the rare book file . <br />
