MASHPEE HISTORICAL COMMISSION NOTES July 20, 2005 10 AM <br /> Commissioners Present: Rosemary Burns, Lee Gurney; ne-w members Paula Peters,, <br /> Jail Slattery) <br /> Clerk Lois Wakefield-Perry <br /> Absent: (nevi member, Joseph Slattery;) Sunny l lemtt <br /> MOTE: As new members have not been sworn In and Lee Gurney's terra is in question, <br /> this is an unofficial, informational session of newly appointed members. <br /> • Welcome new Commissioners Gail Slattery, Paula Peters and Joseph Slattery <br /> (absent). <br /> Discussion on the status of Lee Gurney's positi n on Mashpee Hist ri al <br /> Co=ission relative to being on two boards. Lee is on the Planning Board. There <br /> is a question as to when her term expires with Mashpee Historical Commission . <br /> This is being followed up by Rosemary Bungs. <br /> Request that new Commissioners go to the Town Clerks office to be sworn in. <br /> • Lee gurney briefly reviewed the Orientation Guide—suggested that the new <br /> Commissioners Borne in for a general orientation. <br /> Discussion regarding exhibits—where, what, when—what possibilities there may <br /> e in the future. <br /> • Mashpee Historical Commission meetings are usually held about six times ay ear. <br /> • Each Commissioner usually works on a project of their interest. <br /> We are contfnuing to put all `items" in the Archives on the koeater File data base. <br /> • <br /> We have a digital camera and plan to be more active in taking pictures of the on <br /> going projects around town. ie. Indian Meeting House and the School House <br /> renovations. Gail indicted that her husband, Joe Slattery may be interested in this <br /> prof eet. <br /> • Paula Peters in the fund raiser coordinator for the Indian Meetinghouse. <br /> • Gail and Joe volunteer at Heritage Museum. Gail has interest in setting up <br /> exhibits. She has observed the workings at the Heritage. She is also computer <br /> literate. <br /> • The meeting was adjourned at 11 AM. <br />
