Chairman Lee Gurney presided. <br /> Commissioners Present: Rosemary Bums, Lee Gurnev, Sunny Merritt. <br /> Commissioners Absent: Paula Peters, Gail Slattery <br /> The Minutes of the meeting held on June 6, 2 006 were approved-as read. <br /> Reports: <br /> • Budget—Ali 2006 bills have been paid and we famished the fiscal year well within our <br /> budget. We purchased several books for the Areffives Library with renia=` g funds and <br /> also obtained additional office supplies not available through Town Hall. <br /> Adlstration—Lee Gurney worked with the Personnel Office on the.notice for-a <br /> temporary part-time senior clerk for the Archives. The notice will go on the Town's <br /> website:and in the Cape Cod Times. <br /> • Schoolhouse Friends—Sunny Merritt reported that the CPA C (Community Preservation <br /> Act Committee) had approved a revised application for-the Schoolhouse. The Mashpee <br /> Historical Commission did not have an opportunity to review the revision.because of <br /> time constraints. Discussion took place on the authenticity of shutters for the building, <br /> wEch will be conf=ed by research before they are installed or left off. Rosemary <br /> Bums wifl put together notes on the Schoolhouse. Sunny Merritt will gather-information <br /> on apossible.celebration and contact the.Schoolhouse friends for a board meeting.' <br /> - -C o ttee. of <br /> • Lee Gurney mentioned a proposal received by the Historic district Study <br /> which.she is a riiember.- for a reconnaissance level survey. <br /> archaeological . A request for <br /> 91 0 <br /> $201,000 of Town ffinds has been sent forward for the fail Town Meeting. <br /> • No Reports on CAC, MU' fi-exilibits. People of Color orPhotos around town. <br /> • Nfisc.-. Joy Pell provided instructions on scannimg to Rosemary Bums and Lee Gurney. <br /> Old Business: <br /> Rosemary Bums reminded the members that we have not received a copy of the <br /> documentation of the Petition of the Mashpee Tribal Council that we requested from the <br /> Town Manager. Lee will follow-up with Ms. Mason. <br /> Nev Business: None <br /> A motion was made and unanimously approved to adjourn at 11:3)0 AM. <br /> Next meeting.- Tuesday, September 12�' at 10 arn.
