Chairperson, Lee Gurney <br /> presided. <br /> Commissioners Present: Rosemary Burns, Lee Gurney, Frank Lord, Gordon Peters and <br /> Gail Slattery. <br /> Commissioners Absent: Sunny Merritt. <br /> Rosemary moved that we accept the Minutes of the juiy 9th meeting and her motion <br /> was approved. <br /> As of July 1, 2007, expenses are now under the new budget for 2008.' Gordon Peters <br /> will have a few more copies made up of the reap of Mashpee of 1877 to have for sale to <br /> the public at $5.00 each. <br /> Each member r of the Commission will review the Orientation Guide. <br /> The Community Preservation Committee is still in the process of reviewing applicants. <br /> We support the article on the warrant regarding the Historic District and hope to have <br /> the funds approved at the October 15th Town Meeting. <br /> Gail Slattery is working on a new pictorial display which will focus on the Historic <br /> District. <br /> The Mashpee One-Room Schoolhouse "Friends" will hold their net meeting on <br /> Wednesday, August 15th, at 7:oopm. Frank Lord is hoping to work with some members <br /> of the Mashpee school system to set up appropriate historicarl field trips to the <br /> schoolhouse in the near future. Rosemary Burns made a motion than Lee Gurney write <br /> a letter to the Mashpee Selectmen to get some clarification about the.schoolhouse and <br /> whether or not it will remain under the control of the town, under our guidance, as an <br />
