Minu s of the Meeting: Mashp e Housing Authority/Board of Commisioners May 11 1995 Meeting - called to order: 7 : 15 P.M. The two finalists ,. Carolyn Reed, and Barbara Porter had been scheduled to appear for a short appe-arance before the. newly elected officials, to the Board ofCommissioners, as well the .present Board. Isis. Reed was first , and Mrs . Porter, shortly thereafter . Each of the Commissionerswera given an opportunity to review the submitted resume ' s and re-ferences, prior to the final interviews . After their departure , a straw vote , called by Stu Peoples , was initiated. The vote was throe to one (1) , in favor of Ms . Carolyn Reed. That motion to appoint Ms . Reed as Executive Director of the Mashpe Housing Authority was rade by Commissioner Karen Rudd, and motion seconded by Commissioner Antoinette M. Brooks . Motion being made subject; to the pending waiver from _E. . .D. for Carolyn Reed, New Business Mattens ; Barb-ara Porter submitted to the Board, a request to have the Senior Housing exterminated, and thereof ter maintained, duo to infestation of Amts , and other pests . Motion made by Antolnette M. Brooks, and seconded by Karen Rudd, *to get this done , and a dir . .tive was left to accomplish this . Copy of that request is attached to the minut0s , The Board Signed now check authorization- forms for the M.H.A. Bank accounts . Invoices were paid.. Stn Peoples said he would take care of sending the notification letters to the 15 finalists for the Executive Director ' s position. Karen Rudd suggested that Antoinette M. Brooks , attend the Spring Conference , sponsored by Massachusetts Nahro, to be hold May 22 , & 23rd. 1995 , at the S acrost Hotel, Tn -Talmouth, at a cost of $230.00, for two days . Costs to be paid by the Ma.sh.p e Housing Authority. This motion was seconded by Stu Peoples , and Antoinette M. Brooks , agreed to attend. It was agreed that our meetings would be held the second Thursday of every month. Phone numbers were exohang. d by the Board Members, and a Handbook was given to Mrs . -Brooks on the duties of Commissioners, at her request . Motion by Stu Peoples t,o- adurn, and seconded, by Karen Rudd. In attendance : Stu Peoples, Antoinette M. Brooks , Karen Rudd, and Tenant Representat-ive : Mr .
