Minutes of the 1leetin <br /> of the Mashpee Housing Authority <br /> Board of Commissioners <br /> September 14, 1995 <br /> The meeting of the l ashpee Housing Authority Board of Commissioners was called to order a <br /> 7:03 p.m. and a quorum declared with the following members present: Stu Peoples, Antoinette <br /> Brooks, Constance Mills,James Long and Karen Rudd. Others in attendance included: Carolyn <br /> Reed,Executive Director;Tom Joy,Fee Accountant;and, residents/members of Homeyer <br /> Residents Association. <br /> inotion was made by Mrs. Brooks and seconded by Mrs. Nibs to accept mutes of the meeting <br /> held on August 10, 1995. The motion was adopted. <br /> Mr. Peoples changed the order of the agenda t allover four To Joy to present the FY'96 budget. <br /> Mr.Joy.explained the budget process and advised that there is a %cap for all budget <br /> submissions. This year's budget is basically the same as last year's budget. One difference is a <br /> $3,100 increase over IFY'95 to accommodate the housing authority's cost of health insurance for <br /> the current E ecidive Director. The previous director did not require health insurance through <br /> the hou ing authority so the Masbpee Housing Authority never had a lire item for health <br /> insurari e. Based on that fact, the housing authority sold request an exemption to the %cap <br /> to provide ror lienith insurance. <br /> Also included in this year's budget submission is request for a new computer. The housing <br /> authority purchased a computer last yeas--however it was a 286 which was upgraded to a 386 <br /> which is not su#f"icient,a 486 would better accommodate the necessary programs. <br /> The budget will be submitted without the Management Checklist, which has not been received <br /> from E CD. Upon receipt, the Checklist will be presented to the Board for approval and <br /> submitted to ECD. <br /> The Massachusetts husetts Rental Voucher Program F '96 budget remains basically the same. <br /> A motion was made by Mr. Long and seconded by Mrs. Mills approving F 96 40691 budget for <br /> submission to E CD for approval. The motion was adopted unahitnously. <br /> A,motion was made by Mr. Long and seconded by Mrs. Brooks approving F` 6 MRVP budget <br /> for submission to EOCD for approval. The motion carried una l ousl . <br /> TREASURER'S REPORT: <br /> Account Balances: <br /> 667-1 $14,569.21 (Checking) <br /> 14,697.03 Money Market Savings) <br /> Section 6 16,111.92 (still reflects$12,000 transfer from 001. <br /> MRP 17,881.11 <br /> Tenant Delinquency—two outstanding rent arrearages in the state-aided family program. One is <br /> currently on payment plan; the other has been served with Summary process for court <br /> appearance scheduled for September 21, 1995. <br />
