r= ' g Minutes of the Meetm Mashpee Housing Authority Board of Commissioners September 10, 1998 The meeting was called to order by the Chairperson at 5:40 p.m. and a quorum declared with the following members present: Caren A. Rudd, Marie Younger, and E. Stuart Peoples. Others in attendance 'included: Leila Botsford, Executive Director; Thomas J. Joy} ,Jr., Fee Accountant, and Cheryl Burke and Lois Barthel, Tenant Association representatives. Excused: Constance Mills and Lorraine Finton. SECRETARY'S REPORT: Minutes for regular meeting held on August 13t 1998 were presented. Motion was made by Mr. Peoples and seconded by Ms. Younger to accept the minutes as presented. The motion was adopted. TREASURER'S REPORT. Budget to Actual and Narrative: These were presented to the Board for review, as well as the written treasurers report. Mrs. Botsford reported that the accountant reported no extraordinary expenses and that the report reflects the first month of our fiscal year end 1999. Accounts Payables: Payables totaling $13,968.20 were presented to the Board for review, approval rid signatures. Pent Delinquencies: Mrs. Botsford reported that there were no rent delinquencies at the Horneyer pillage complex. One of the 705 tenants was delinquent and Mrs. Botsford has a private conference with the individual next week. A motion was made by Mr. Peoples and seconded by Ms. Younger to accept the secretary's report as presented. The notion was adopted. Ms. Judd suggested that it would be a good time to address the FY 1999 Budget with Mr. Joy, so that he could be excused for the evening. r Mr_ Joy presented the budgets and explained that the DHCD has approved a % increase on the non-utility expense level. After a detailed review of the budget and a short discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Peoples and seconded by Ms. Younger to approve and submit to DHCD the budgets as presented.
