3 <br /> a, <br /> minute of the Meeting <br /> Mashpee Housing Authority <br /> Board of Commissioners <br /> March 11, 1999 <br /> The meeting was called to order by the Chairperson at 5:35 p.m. and a quorum declared with <br /> the following members-present: E. Stuart Peoples, Lorri l`inion, Constance Mills and Made <br /> Younger. Others in attendance included: Leila Botsford, Executive Director, Michael Bailey <br /> for the Mashpee Enterprise, and Cheryl Burke, resident of Ho Byer Village. <br /> SECRETARY'S REPORT: <br /> M inutes for regular meeting held o n February 11, 1999 were presented. Motion was made b <br /> Ms. Proton and.seconded by Ms. Younger to accept the minutes as presented. The <br /> motion was adopted. <br /> TREASURER'S REPORT: <br /> Budget to Actual and Narrative: The Budget to Actual Report which reflects the eighth month <br /> of the fiscal year was presented to the Board for review, as well as the wdften treasurer's <br /> report. Mrs. Botsford stated that the accountant reported no extraordinary expenses in this <br /> month, but that there was a deficit on line item number 4390 "Other Utilities" . She explained <br /> that this overage was due to the cost of the septic purnpings that were necessary over the past <br /> year and that we have no control over that cost. In the budget next year we wiII need to <br /> budget higher to allow for the 'increase in this cost. <br /> Accounts'P ables: Payables totaling $6,1 1. o were presented to the Board for review, <br /> approval and signatures. <br /> Rent Delinquencies. Mrs. Botsford reported that only one resident had not paid their rent and <br /> it is the one that the housing authority is seeking an eviction on for other violations. A motion <br /> was rade by Mrs. Mills and seconded by Ms. Younger to accept the secretary's report as <br /> presented. The motion was adopted. <br /> PROGRAM UPDATE: <br /> Home er Villa 667 : Mrs. Botsford reported that one Homeyer ViIIa a resident has <br /> given notice to move in the fiat week of April and the process has been started to fill <br /> that vacancy. BINGO vill continue at least trice a month as a regular social event. In <br /> addition to that, for an extra social event this month, the chef for the Center for <br /> Optimum Care will be putting on a cool ing presentation entitled "Cooking for One." <br /> Mrs. Botsford then reported that an agreement has been entered into between herself <br /> and the resident's association and that she net with the residents the previous evening <br />
