{ <br /> 40 <br /> Minutes of the Meeting <br /> Mashpee Housing Authority <br /> Board of Commissioners <br /> May 13, 19" <br /> The me ting was called to order by the Ms. Made Younger, acting as Chairperson, at 5.35 p.m. <br /> and a quorum declared with the following members present: Lord l=lnt n, La eme Williams, <br /> Gina Orlando and Marie lounger. E. Stuart Peoples was absent. Others In attendance <br /> included: Leila Botsford, Executive Director., Richard Gilman, Lois Barthel, Chef Burke and <br />' Pauline Jeffries,, residents of Homeyer Village. New members ers were introduced and <br /> welcomed. <br /> SECRETA# 's PORT: <br /> Minutes for regular meeting held on April 8, 1999 were presented. Motion was rade by Ms. <br /> Proton and seconded y Ms. Finton to accept the minutes as presented, The motion was <br /> adopted,, <br /> EsREWS REST: <br /> Budeto Actual and Narratire: The Budget to Actual Report which reflects the tenth month of <br /> the fiscal year was presented to the Board for review. The accountant report reflected that <br /> there were no extraordinary expenses in this month. Mrs. Botsford presented the written <br /> treasurer's reports for the previous month as well as the current month. Mrs. Botsford pointed <br /> out that the board may notice significant changes In the balances on the accounts. She <br /> explained that she had researched the different interest rates and found that the business <br /> savings account had an interest rate of 1.88%while the checking accounts" interest rates were <br /> all .85%. Singe the checking account balances were being kept unnecessarily high, Mrs. <br /> Botsford transferred money from all of them to the savings account so that the housing <br /> authority would gain more interest on its money. <br /> Accounts Payables: Payables totaling $10,593.34 were presented to the Board for review, <br /> approval and signatures. Mrs. Botsford ported out two especially high payments - one was <br /> the water bill and one was for the painting of the 705 unit on Old Barnstable load. <br /> Rent elrrr ue : Mrs. Botsford reported that there were no rent delinquencies. Mrs. <br /> Botsford mentioned that, had it not been for the one month of non-payment by the 705 family <br /> that was being evicted!, the housing authority would have enjoyed no rent delinquencies for a <br /> con nu us 7 month period. A Motion was made by lis, Proton and seconded by Ms. <br /> Williams to accept the Secretary's report as presented. The motion was adopted. <br /> PROGRAM UPDATE: <br /> Homeyer_Villaue L6671'. Mrs. Botsford reported that there was s orae vacancy at Homeyer <br /> Tillage which has been filled. She reported that another tenant has given notice to <br />
