Minutesof the Meeting <br /> MASHPEE HOUSING AUTHORITY <br /> Board of Commissioners <br /> January 11, 2001 <br /> The meeting was called to order by the vice-chairperson at 5.32 p,m. and a quorum <br /> declared with the following members present: E. Stuart Peoples, Mary Likins, Lord <br /> Fint n, and Laverne Williams. Also in attendance was Leila Botsford, Executive Director <br /> and Anne Houston and Rita Farrell from the Massachusetts Housing Partnership Fund, <br /> SECRETARY'S Y'S I EPOS T: <br /> Minutes for regular meeting held on November 9,, 2000 were presented. Motion was <br /> made by Nis. Williams and seconded by Ids. Likins to accept the minutes as <br /> presented. The motion was adopted. <br /> At this time the Chairperson acknowledged Feta Farrell and Anne Houston of the <br /> Massachusetts Housing Partnership Fund (MHPF). <br /> Ashers Path/Route 28 Update/Presentation b .Massachusetts Housing Partnership_ <br /> Fund. Mrs. Botsford introduced Ms. Farrell and Ms. Houston to the board. Ms. Farrell <br /> and Ms. Houston proceeded to give a little background about MHPF and then reviewed, <br /> in detail, the drafted Request for Proposals which the housing authority will be issuing <br /> for the development of the Ashers Path property. A lengthy discussion was involved <br /> and it was suggested that the board vote on a final draft of the Request for Proposal at <br /> the next meeting, if possible. Other votes will need to be taken as well. MHPF will <br /> provide us with a memorandum outlining the specifics. A selection committee must be <br /> formed and voted on to review proposals and select an applicant for board approval. It <br /> was recommended that at least two members of the board, and Mrs. Botsford, be part <br /> of this committee in addition to others who have experience with development or <br /> finances. Mrs; Botsford stated that she had several people in mind who she thinks <br /> would serve the housing authority well on the selection committee. She will contact <br /> them in the net month to see if they are able and grilling to Beare. Ms. Houston.stated <br /> that a farm would be developed as a tool for evaluation, she stated that after the <br /> selection is done, a design review committee will need to be formed to work closely <br /> with the developer. Ms. Farrell and Ms. Houston reviewed other requirements with <br /> regards to proper advertising. <br /> The board thanks Ms. Farrel and Ms. Houston for heir presentation. <br /> TREASURER'S REPORT: <br /> T: <br /> Budget to Actual and Narrative: Mrs. Botsford stated that she was in receipt of the <br /> approved budget from DHC . As mentioned previously,, DHCD approved all requests <br /> with the exception of increasing the Administrative Assistant's hours, Moneys were <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
