Also in attendance: Leila <br /> Botsford, Executive Director Board Secretary. E. Stuart Peoples was excused, Dan Hor eyer was absent. <br /> There was no public comment. <br /> SECRETARY'S REPORT: <br /> Minutes for the regular meeting held on July 13, 2006 were presented. A motion was made by Mr. <br /> Laporte and Bonded by Mr. Halpern to accept the minutes as printed. The motion was <br /> adopted. <br /> TREASURER'S REPORT: <br /> Budget to Actual and Narrative: Mrs. Botsford provided a treasurer's report including the bank account <br /> report and the Budget to Actual Report, prepared by the fee-accountant, which represents through the <br /> second month of the fiscal year. She explained that the figures are based on last years budgeted <br /> amounts, as we do not yet have budget guidelines for fiscal year 2007. Mrs. Botsford met today with <br /> Thomas Joy, Fee Accountant, and discussed the extraordinary maintenance costs. we've already spent <br /> almost $6,000.00 in this line item. This is due to the unusually high amount of unit turnovers. Already vire <br /> have.had 2 of there.since this budget year began- my 1 and.another family housing unit turnover is <br /> expected in October: nits are now 1 gears old so wh n someoneis moving out'there is usually. large <br /> e*p rise in{ ring;r pla a ent,-which is the largest cost we've �n-faced with for turnovers. <br /> According to Tom, our options are-as fellows: 1):.to request emergency modernization funding,from <br /> HCD for the unit.t6rrrov r that is ori in Octber rn any tha }foll6w; totake the"u'6it off lire and <br /> not rye-rent it; to jeopardize the financial integrity of the authority (ire have only about $20,000 in <br /> reserve). He suggested that the board discuss the situation and decide how they want to proceed. The <br /> options were discussed and Mr. Laporte recommended that we take up this item under new business. <br /> Accounts Payables: Payables totaling $9,979.82 were presented to the Board for review, approval and <br /> signatures. The warrant was presented to the chairperson for his signature. <br /> Rent Delingeci : Mrs. Botsford stated that all ants were paid in full at Hmeer pillage, .We are now <br /> at Igo occupancy at both developments. A Breezy Acres resident has not paid her rent for September, a <br /> She has given notice to rove out by October. The tenant realizes she is still responsible for Septembees <br /> rent.
