As things get busier, I will be training Alice on and handing over a
couple of my responsibilities and increase her hours if the budget allows).
Vincent Gault was hired last year as our permanent Maintenance Laborer, with part time hours of 1
hours per week.. Vincent is an extremely talented, professional, conscientious, dependable employee who
is well-liked by everyone. Unfortunately, Vincent needed full time work and accepted a job with a local
school. He was interested in staying on with the authority (for about to hours per week) in the hopes
that a full-time position here would come available with us in the future. The difference in his hours (8
hours/week) was made up by me and the arrangement has worked well. I do light maintenance,
gardening, landscaping, and cleaning and Dandle the emergencies that come up when Vincent is
unavailable. when the construction of Ashees Patin is complete, it is my hope (and his as well) that
Vincent will be hired as the full time maintenance person and handle all of our properties.
Both employees have had their annual evaluations done.
In addition to staff supervision, I continue to be responsible for the full management of both properties
and administer all of the rental assistance programs for a total caseload of approximately 10clients.
I eve managed all accounts payables and receivables and assisted in ars audit done by the Mate Auditor's
office, which resulted in no findings. I continue to publish a monthly newsletter for Homeyer Village
residents, arrange some social activities for there, and maintain a lending library in the community room.
I attend monthly meetings for SMEDA (Southeastern Massachusetts Executive Director's Association),
HADo mall Housing Authority Directors Organization), and Mashpee Human Services. I attend the Fall
and Spring conferences for MassNAHPo and Pat Grace legal workshops throughout the year. I was
elected as president for SHADO this past fall and have a two-gear terra. I've presented at the last two
MassNAHio conferences for topics relating policies and tenant handbooks. My lours remain on paper)
part time: 24 hours per week, plus 8 hours for maintenance. I remain on-call for emergencies 24/7. M
contract was renewed for a fire-year period. It is expected that as soon as Asher's Path is developed, m
position will be increased to full-time.
Page 4 of
