Fritschi. <br /> T 1/14/00 memo from Sherman to Dep ents. <br /> -� 117 memo from Taylor to whritnour regarding urse of keys to obtain access to Town Hall <br /> copy machine. (Keys were pot used f of his meeting. <br /> - 1 I o memo from I ami to Committees- <br /> Old Business - <br /> Mr. Ellis dlse sled his plans for the Harbor Masters' 1 pent and enforcement.on the Pond. The <br /> boat moored t Mashpee Shores hao engine trouble last year and was out of seriee for most of the <br /> boating season. He plans on adding an officer on jet ski next season and may get assistance from the <br /> .Police Department. He reported that a public hearing with the Department of Environmental Law <br /> Enforcement was scheduled for March to discuss adoption o Town Waterways Bylaws for the Pond. <br /> The possib ty of getting gids frotn ramp parking fees for a Committee secretary was discussed. <br /> Mr. Cadrin updated the Cottee on I Braden Thoms-en plane activities. Two more monitoring wells <br /> were dug on the Lowell Holly Reservation and one more was dug at the intersection of Trout Path and <br /> Cove Toad. Samples from all three new wells were clean., indicating that the plume is significantly <br /> smaller than initially estimated and has not moved frther to the east. The cleanup plan was modified <br /> from three recirculating wells to tw ; Acquisition of land is process for the cleanup. More surface <br /> water samples were taken -and around Pickerel Cove but results are not yet available. <br /> New Busmnes <br /> Mr. CopiHTTrom the State Mosquito Control Agency shared his perspectives Gn water management and <br /> urged the.Cornmittee to consider system management and historical context in heir decisions. He <br /> reported that the dam spillway was cleaned by his crew in december. In his opinion,the high water <br /> episode two Winters ago was nearly disasterous. He feels that the-entire darn structure was nearly lost. <br /> If that had occurred he believes that the entire system would be charged forever, including ituch loner <br /> Pond levels a d downstream wash uts. <br /> 1 <br /> Adjournment <br /> - The meeting Idjourned-at 9:30 pm. <br /> a <br />
