Many items referred to <br /> other Mass. Boating regulations. The Committee generally agreed that most specific <br /> requirements were based on common sense and would be appropriate for 1 shpee va eby <br /> Pond. <br /> Perry Ellis clarified that the determination to designate Mashpee/Wakeby Pond as a single, <br /> `great pond" rather than two smaller ponds under local regulation was Ornade by the State. He <br /> advised that any proposed regulations would need have the support of Mass. Public Access <br /> Board and Mass. Div. Environmental Lav Enforcement to have a chance of being adopted. <br /> Perry was scheduled to meet with Richard Murray, director of NMELE on Tuesday March 30 <br /> and would present our ideas on specific regulations for Mashpee/Wakeby Pond. Ferry also <br /> thought that a liberal horsepower limit of approximately 150 BP may be a reasonable proposal. <br /> The Secretary informed the Committee that he was appointed to a DEP Advisory Committee on <br /> the I Braden Thompson contaminant plume. No meetings had yet occurred, but information <br />
